Little Sprouts Consigment

http://www.littlesproutssale.com/

I am finally getting around to posting a review for the awesome Little Sprouts Consignment sale! I will post pictures of what I got later. Let me start by saying that everyone that worked the sale was super nice, the venue was clean and well organize. I had to go through and "discard" my pile twice! There were soooo many cute smocked outfits, and yall know I am sucker for anything smocked!! All of the clothes were very clean, in good condition and well priced. So far this season Little Sprouts is my favorite sale!

I ended up purchasing a sailboat smocked bubble $15, rubber duckie smocked bubble $8, terry cloth Baby Gap bubble $5, pink Polo shirt $4, Life is Good monkey t-shirt $1 and a leap frog leaning drum toy $3. (It helped Mom gave both Lauren and me some money to spend! :) Love you Mom!) Lauren purchased a Boppy for $3 (wow!) a bag full of lullaby cd's $7, Gymboree pants $6, and Baby Gap smocked dress $8. We both did really well!

I was impressed they had two BOB jogging strollers and a Maclaren stroller! The two pictures up now are some snap shots I took with my phone. I will post the next sale dates as soon as I find out.

Almost 8 months

I can't believe Elijah is almost 8 months! Time is flying by. He has two teeth and I am pretty sure we have another one coming in just not sure where. He has also decided not to take a bottle any more and isn't too interested in a sippy cup. That makes it pretty hard to get the 4 oz a day of prune juice he is supposed to be drinking! I have even tried a medicine dropper. That was amusing, he took the first round and the next he just spit out and smiled. So any tips or tricks are welcome! Solid are still going well, he is mostly eating pear and prunes to keep "things" moving.

On another note David has been preparing to apply to take the bar. There is soooo much he has had to do!! I can't express how proud I am of him. He has totally kicked butt the past two years! We planned a wedding, got married and had a baby and he has cruised through all of that, worked full time at the public defenders office and gone to law school full time!! He is AMAZING! We are both looking forward to him graduating and being able to spend more time as a family. I think this summer is going to be a lot of fun with Eli around!

I have been looking into joining a play group or a infant class like Gymboree offers. So far I haven't found a play group and the Gymboree classes are $70 a month and My Gym is $75 a month! When it gets warm outside we can go to the park but we are stuck inside now. :(

Well the little man just woke up so that's all for now.

February

February is turning out to be a pretty busy month for the Jones family. I worked twice this week and will work again on Sunday. David has been studying like a mad man for two big exams. He took the second on Thursday and feels good about it. We have a lot of family members who have had procedures this month, thankfully all have gone well. Please continue to pray for their healing.

We took Elijah to the eye doctor to have his clogged tear duct checked out. The doctor confirmed that he does in fact have a clogged tear duct. Something I learned is that your tears do not come from the corners of your eyes but from the top of the lids. So in the corners is where the tears are supposed to drain down into your nose. (You know when you cry and your nose runs) What is happening with Elijah is his draining duct is blocked so the tears just sit in duct and get funky which produces the gunky green goopy eyes. Poor buddy wake up with a pirate face most of the time! We call him pirate face because his left eye is usually gunked shut :( The doctor have us two options. The first being possible surgery now. Possible because the doctor is participating in a national study to see how beneficial it is to do surgery at 6 months compared to a year. Elijah name would be submitted to a computer in Florida and it would choose whether he had surgery now or at a year. If they were to do surgery now they would only give numbing drops in his eyes and probe them with a wire all with him tied down! David and I both decided for Option 2. Option 2 is to contuine with the eye drops, try some massages to try and open the block and wait and see if it clears. There is a chance it will clear but the doctor could not give us a percent. That is another reason they are doing a national study, there is almost no information about the benefits of surgery at 6 months compared to a year. So for now Elijah and I have our battles of me cleaning his eyes out with wet cotton balls and then the dreaded eye drops.

On a more exciting note my sister is expecting a baby girl! She is due March 1st but we all think Abigail Lillian will come much earlier. She is already experiencing irregular contractions. Her baby shower is tomorrow and we are all excited! Unfortunately I signed up to work and could only get off for a few hours so I can only come to the shower for a little while. Someone has to answer the 911's :( So please keep Lauren in your prayer for a safe delivery and a healthy baby girl!

P.S. Elijah has his two bottom teeth now!!
